The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory

The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory is quite a mouthful, but you can say MAGNT!

Located at scenic Bullocky Point in Darwin, you will find popular permanent exhibitions, along with shorter-term exhibits curated from the huge collection.

Permanent exhibits include:

  • Transformations - tracing evolution through natural history.
  • Sweetheart - exhibition of a famous male crocodile over 5 metres long.
  • Cyclone Tracy - the story of the devastation of 1974 and the rebuilding of a city.
  • Maritime History - displaying beautiful boats, canoes and watercraft.

Where: 19 Conacher Street, The Gardens, Darwin NT 0820

Hours: 10:00am - 5:00pm daily

Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.

Cost: Free
